Habitat for Humanity Victoria (HFHV) is delighted to announce the appointment of Justin Simpson as Chief Executive Officer, effective as of 9 December 2024.
Justin brings considerable experience working in for-purpose, community-based organisations and alongside volunteers, as well as working with Boards and teams preparing and executing strategic plans.
Prior to his appointment, Justin was the COO of Green Collect and the CEO of Scripture Union Victoria and holds qualifications in Governance, a Graduate Diploma of Arts in Ministry and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.
Justin is committed to achieving transformational change in the lives of people who are vulnerable and in need of access to affordable and appropriate housing.
Justin said he is really excited to be joining the HFHV team. “I feel such a deep sense of alignment with HFHV’s mission, values and impact. I’m looking forward to working with our Board, staff, volunteers, supporters, partner organisations and partner families, to build homes, communities and hope together.”
Justin will work with the Board and the very capable and passionate team at HFHV to build on the legacy established by Philip Curtis who has led the team for the past 15 years. Earlier this year, Philip announced it was time to pass on the leadership baton and will conclude his time with HFHV on 20 December 2024.
