what we do in Victoria

Facing hardship or disadvantage and need a helping hand around the home?

Our Brush with Kindness program supports eligible Melbourne residents with practical home maintenance, disaster recovery and improvement projects completed by volunteer teams. Projects may include painting, light repairs and basic gardening tasks that can be completed by a team of 6–10 volunteers in a day.

This initiative is made possible by a dedicated team of part-time staff and volunteers. While volunteers lend their time and expertise, the work completed may not always match that of a qualified trade specialist.

Please note, we’re unable to assist with lawn mowing or work requiring qualified tradespeople.
